Time to let SORComm go.

Post by Met » Wed May 09, 2018 11:09 am

I believe it's time to let SORComm go. There has been very little activity on the site this last year and virtually nothing for over a month. I've enjoyed many of the conversations we've had over the years and hope this has helped somewhat with peoples recovery as it has my own.

I wish you all the very best in life.

This year when it's time to renew, I won't renew it. Thanks Renny for hosting our site the last few years.

Take care of yourselves.

Thank You Met for putting it together,
It has helped me especially in the beginning when I joined in 2012, after my arrest.
Thank You Renny also for hosting this site.

I am really sad to hear that. I have done some of my best thinking, sharing thoughts and seeking help when needed.
I'm not a sex offender but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Very sorry to hear that.
Hope you got through the hurricane ok.
I can only wonder why log-ins have dropped off. Maybe parole officers have banned the site for their clients.

Mine never had an issue, but I did tell them during my pre-sentence investigation, witch did make it into the court transcript. Even show my probation officer after my release from custody. Thought it was good for me. And it was. It helped a lot in the early days.

But then again. I got lucky with p/os left me alone as long as I did not make any problems.

I've never heard of probation officers having a problem with this site. I just think that most of our members have found their pace in recovery and are not needing as much help as when we first were dealing with our crimes and the fall-out of our status.

I don't know how the newly convicted offenders are dealing with things. It seems that taking responsibility and ownership is going out of vogue. Now everyone is a victim and feels justified to fight for their rights.

Today I got a notice that the Domain Name Search Engine Registration will expire tomorrow. I do not plan on renewing it. I think it simply puts the domain on search engines and the site may continue to work. But if not, I want to thank you all for your friendship over these many years. Take care of yourselves.
